Keith Urban, Alicia Keys Look for 'Shelter'

In the most unlikely pairing of the day, Aussie country-rocker Keith Urban and soul songstress Alicia Keys teamed up to cover... the Rolling Stones? The two stars tackled the Stones classic 'Gimme Shelter' in front of the New York crowd. Keys told Bravo host Dave Holmes backstage, "It was a really spontaneous thing ... bringing together people from supposedly two separate worlds."

Oh you poor thing, let me spell it out to you. It's hilarious that both you and the other girl try and dispute what's been researched and documented on wikipedia without even reading the page...is the intelligence (or lack thereof) the two of you display par for the course as far as Keys fans are concerned?

Once more: read the facts before shooting your mouth, cause you sound ignorant. What's on that wikipedia discussion page are quotes from interviews with Keys. The only "inaccurate garbage" is what came out of her own mouth.

When you can point to three different interviews where she gave three different stories that are all in conflict with each other, you can't blame Joe Blow, sweetheart. And that's just one of many examples on that page where she lies through her teeth about her musical background. She's nothing more than a Clive Davis-manufactured pop star.

Maybe her live performances prove her skills are closer to they're hyped as being, maybe they don't (though I do recall several critics saying her piano playing is less than stellar), but how exactly does meeting her prove she's talented? Take a class in logic, would ya?

And actually yes you can fake it. That doesn't necessarily mean she's one of them, but get your head out of the clouds. Painting documented evidence from Keys herself as stuff "others make up" and claiming dishonest people who are all image and no substance are talented...get rid of Bush as your role model, kid.

Carmen why don't you try going to an Alicia Keys concert to see how talented she is. Stop reading that inaccurate garbage at wikipedia. Any Joe Blow of the street can add things and claim they're fact.

I've seen her perform more than once and have had the opportunity to meet her and I can say from first hand (not what other's make up) experience that she is very talented and leagues above other female artists.

Her live shows are incredible, you can't fake that.

I thought they were great. I wasn't suprised by Keith's guitar prowess I have been a fan for years. I was delighted in Keyes though and how well they went together. .....and who says country/western anymore?

I loved seeing Keith Saturday night! I thought he looked great and sounded even better! But, I only got to see him sing with Alicia Keyes. Did he sing any of his songs as well?
I will get my chance to see Keith for the second time when he comes here to Washington, DC to the Verizon Center on 8/17. I can't wait! From what I have read in his concert reviews, he puts on an awesome show!

The concert in 1985 was not for AIDS, it was called LIVE AID but was for famine relief in Africa

Toma: congratulations for bringing out the lazy, juvenile and hackneyed argument that because someone has millions of fans means they have talent, and that anyone who thinks otherwise is simply jealous.

Your ignorance shows you know squat about the celebrity machine and the music industry. Go check Keys' wikipedia discussion page and see what she's really about, but it's so much easier to shoot your mouth than to check the facts, isn't it?

"Musical goddess" lol, how old are you, 12? And sorry, but someone who demands hundreds of thousands of dollars from a charity for a performance at their event is not a "fabulous human being".

Britney Spears' and Paris Hilton's albums get four star reviews as well from those "professional music reviewers". But I wouldn't be surprised if they are "goddesses" to you as well.

While it was a valiant effort.....and it started out well.....Alicia Keys.....as good as she is....was not up to this task......Keith held his own....the band was very good....but Alicia ended up screaming....listen to the original....it is a classic....this is about the music....and the cause....not about who is hot....or sooo hot...
